A Site Pollution Liability policy placed at Lloyd's through Mosaic, written for Bluefield Cwm and Phurnacite Limited as First Named Insured — with the option to bring Coal Products Limited onto the same policy as a Named Insured on completion of the sale of Cwm Coke Works.

The insured sites
- Insured Site 1 — the former CPL coke works and associated land at Cwm, Beddau and Llantwit Fardre, Pontypridd.
- Insured Site 2 — the former Phurnacite plant and associated land at Abercwmboi and Aberaman, Aberdare.
Two audiences, one policy
The same wording serves both sides of the transaction, but for different reasons.
Buyer
Bluefield Cwm and Phurnacite Limited
First Named Insured. Long-tail pollution liability, third-party clean-up, emergency and crisis costs across both sites, with a lender able to be added as additional insured.
Seller
Coal Products Limited
Optional Named Insured for an additional 25% of the Insured Site 1 premium — cover in its own name rather than reliance on contractual indemnities after completion.
Where things stand
- Terms valid for 60 days from 26 August 2026.
- Premium payment: 60 days from inception; LSW3001 Premium Payment Clause. Minimum earned premium 100% on the Policy Inception Date.
- Insurance Premium Tax of 12% on the 100% gross premium is payable in addition.
- Inception date, expiry date, additional insureds and the order hereon remain to be confirmed at contract exchange.
